Solar Thermal Hot Water

Involving practical tuition on a purpose-built demonstration model, this course fits the needs of plumbers, heating engineers and those working in associated industries who want to increase their skills and gain qualifications in the provision of solar hot water heating systems.

If successful, you’ll be able to join a competent persons scheme such as that offered by NICEIC, and self-certify your work instead of having to notify Building Control.

To join the Solar Competency Scheme, you’ll need additional qualifications available at British Gas Business Training Services: Unvented Hot Water, Energy Efficiency, Water Regulations, Working at Heights, Manual Handling and CoSHH.

The course involves both practical and paper-based assessment.
