ACS Commercial Catering Gas
1 to 6 day course (depending on type of assessment and modules undertaken), at Caerphilly site
Initial Assessment: Suitable if you’re a first-time entrant wishing to gain a qualification to work with gas in commercial catering settings and meet entry requirements*. Changeover packages are available if you’re an existing gas engineer looking to expand your services to cover commercial catering equipment.
Reassessment: For existing commercial engineers wishing to renew qualifications.
You take the core safety module CCCN1 (or CoDC1 for changeovers), then choose the modules that suit your needs from:
- COMCAT1 – Boiling Burning Cookers
- COMCAT2 – Water Boilers Expansion or Pressure
- COMCAT3 – Deep Fat Fryers
- COCATA1 – COMCAT 1 & 3
You undertake both practical and paper-based assessment.
