Oil Courses

Oil technicians who wish to join the Competent Persons Scheme must gain certification via oil competency assessments such as those offered at British Gas Business Training Services.

On successful completion of the assessments, your certification is issued through NICEIC and recognised by OFTEC, the technical and marketing body for the oil firing industry in the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

The courses available are designed for oil technicians to first gain certification for competency, before registering with OFTEC, or other Competent Person Scheme operators, to be able to self certify work under the Building Regulations.

• OFT101 – Pressure Jet Burners
• OFT105E – Appliance Installation and Energy Efficiency
• OFT600A – Oil Tank Installation
